CREATIVE RESISTANCE CRAFT KLUB (2020)
A response to Covid 19, lockdown 1.0
It consisted in 12 weekly online craftalongs discussing creative resistance in an informal and intimate space. Funded by the Arts Council Emergency fund and in partnership with St. Margaret's House, Bethnal Green. It offered support to usual attendees of the Embroidery Loop group, a textile nase
FALL OUT CLUB with Ray Malone (2019)
Participatory event including embroidery, installation and research with radical parenting group providing peer support, creative workshops and supporting the call for a Universal Basic Income.
EMBROIDERY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE(2019)
The Embroidery Mental Health Service was an participatory art intervention. Just like a postal service, it invited participants to share advice based on their lived experience on coping with mental health struggles.
They were then collaboratively embroidered, further allowing for conversations about mental health in an organic, supportive and creative environment.
EAST LONDON TAPESTRY (2018)
The East London Tapestry was developed as a series of 16 East London based textile workshops where participants were invited to embroider and share their stories.
It was supported by Rich Mix as 'The Magic Carpet' and Poplar Union as 'Share a Stitch'.
