"Familiar Constructions" showcases a series of thought-provoking soft sculptures. This body of work delves into the realm of dolls and soft toys,  as familiar objects intimately connected to our understanding of family and kinship.

 

They are tools to questions how these objects unwittingly reinforce societal expectations. Each sculpture, crafted with diverse textile techniques, materials, and forms, explores the cultural and emotional associations we attribute to cloth objects, sparking dialogues about non-traditional configurations and the richness of diverse kinship networks.
