Privacy notice

Last updated: 6 October 2026

I’m Milou Stella, an independent artist and the person responsible for personal information collected through this website and Wet Letters, my newsletter.

For questions about your information or to exercise your privacy rights, contact milou.stella@gmail.com

When you subscribe to Wet Letters

I collect your email address, your name if you provide it, and a record of your subscription and consent.

I use this information to send Wet Letters, including writing, sound, project updates, invitations and opportunities to buy or support my work. Subscribing is voluntary, and the legal basis for sending these emails is your consent.

I use MailerLite to manage subscriptions and deliver the newsletter. MailerLite processes subscriber information on my behalf.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking Unsubscribe in any newsletter or by emailing me. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

When you contact me

If you email me or use a contact form, I use the details you provide to respond and manage our correspondence.

My legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about my practice. If your enquiry concerns a potential commission or purchase, I may instead use your information to take steps towards a contract at your request.

Contacting me does not automatically subscribe you to Wet Letters.

Website information and cookies

This website is hosted by Squarespace, which processes technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

Who receives your information

Relevant information is processed by the providers I use to run my website, newsletter and email correspondence: Squarespace, MailerLite and Gmail.

I do not sell your personal information. I may disclose information where required by law.

How long I keep information

I keep your subscription details while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, I retain only the information needed to record your opt-out, respect your preferences and demonstrate consent where necessary.

I keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting working relationship, legal obligations or dispute. I review retained information and delete what is no longer needed.

Your rights

You can object to direct marketing at any time.

If you are concerned about how I handle your information, you can contact me or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

I will update this page when my use of personal information changes.
