Tidal is the water near you

By the river’s mouth

Where the river loosens into salt

Seabirds cackle to ghosts I heard

I’ll come

dressed as your darkest hour

Clumps of exposed earth

The air smelt sour along the barbed wired field we know near home

Milky ways on the train

I know

eventually we all give into pain or is it pleasure?

Another wet body from a body of love

Altered states in these violent states

I beg you, close enough to breathe in my ear

(Stay)

Project: Where The River Loosens, WET BODIES, 2025

Where the River Loosens is an audio piece part of WET BODIES, a collaborative video–sound project created with George Paris. We film scenes from our everyday surroundings and transform them into audiovisual fragments, mixing sound, performance, projection, and music. Through live visuals, field recordings, and text-based experimentation, we turn images and words into a shifting form of multimedia poetry.
