Milou Stella conjures audiovisual dreamscapes and shapeshifting oddities using projection, video, sound, and soft sculpture to explore the glitching beauty of systems in decay.

They’re digging deep into oddkin relationships—those tender, bonds that bloom beyond bloodlines. Their work composts heritage, memory, and folklore, layering electronic lullabies, diaristic fragments, and messy acts of making together.

A recent associate artist at Open School East, they’ve received support from Arts Council England, A-n, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Their latest experiment, Bedtime Stories: Odd Tongues For Oddkins, stitches together oral histories, speculative whispers, and uncanny data traces. Milou is currently partnering with the University of Southampton to keep reprogramming the circuitry of care and connection.
